Dr. Amber White

Dr. Amber White has 15 years of experience in education where she has served as a paraprofessional, teacher, assistant principal, and principal.  She is no stranger to hard work and servant leadership. She believes that all students deserve a quality education. Dr. White strongly believes it is her primary role as the instructional leader of Smith IS to ensure all students leave with a solid foundation for high school as well as provide educators the tools and resources to ensure high levels of success. Her core values are simple: students first, operate from a growth mindset, make data-driven decisions, and remember relationships are the foundation to success for all.

Dr. White earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, a master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.  She also received her principal and superintendent certifications through her graduate programs. As a lifelong learner and advocate for Texas Public Schools, Dr. White continues learning and advocacy through participation in the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP),  Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Raise Your Hand Texas, National Dropout Prevention Center and International Center for Leadership in Education in addition to other professional learning opportunities throughout the state of Texas.

Dr. White joined Cleburne ISD as Principal in 2017. Dr. White is married and has 2 children; all a part of the CISD Jacket Family. There’s no better place to call home!
