Mrs. Boedeker is a proud graduate of Cleburne High School. She holds an Associate’s degree from Hill College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Texas Wesleyan University, and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Tarleton State University. Mrs. Boedeker was an honor student at all four schools, graduating first in her class at both Hill College and Texas Wesleyan.
Her passion for learning spilled over into her life’s work as a teacher and school administrator. As a teacher at Cleburne Middle School and Wheat Middle School, she loved teaching Reading to 7th graders as well as serving her fellow teachers as team leader. Mrs. Boedeker continues to embrace learning new things and helping others reach their potential in and out of the classroom.
Mrs. Boedeker has served CISD for twelve years as a school administrator. She moved from the middle school classroom to Adams elementary to serve as their assistant principal for three years before becoming their principal. After leading that campus for four years, Mrs. Boedeker moved to Marti Elementary where she is in her fifth year as principal.
During her service at Marti Elementary School, she has lead her campus to earn multiple TEA Distinctions and PTA recognitions, as well as being named one of only 200 Capturing Kids’ Hearts Showcase Campuses in the nation.
When not serving her students and staff, Mrs. Boedeker enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband Danny have raised two sons Tim and Chris. Chris and his wife Andrea have two sons, Oliver and Henry. Tim and his wife Lillie are expecting their first child, Luke, in October.
“If you know nothing else about me, you should know that I believe with all my heart in the value of education, and I believe Cleburne public schools stand ready and able to give our students a solid academic foundation. With the support of our community and families we can continue the long tradition of academic excellence in Cleburne!” Mary Boedeker
