    The Cleburne Independent School District Special Education Department is located at the Fulton Education Center, 311 Featherston, in Cleburne. The Special Education Department serves students with disabilities residing in Cleburne Independent School district boundaries.

    Policies and procedures concerning confidentiality and access (including fee schedule) of student records are available for review at the above address during working hours - 8:00 am until 4:00 pm - Monday through Friday.

    Students’ special education eligibility records containing assessment information are kept at this location and may be reviewed during working hours by parents, legal guardians or eligible students by contacting the Cleburne Special Education Department, 817-202-1600. The district upon request will provide explanations and interpretations of the records. Students’ school cumulative records may be reviewed at the individual school campuses.

    The district shall retain education records of students with disabilities for at least five years after the student’s graduation or dismissal from special education. At the end of five years, any parent, legal guardian, or eligible student who wishes the original records may obtain these records by sending a written notice listing all special education records requested by name, date of birth, dates of attendance, and school of last attendance in special education to: Cleburne Special Education Department, 311 Featherston, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

     El Departamento de Educacion Especial del Distrito Independiente de Cleburne esta localizado en el edificio de Fulton Education Center, 311 Featherston, en Cleburne. El Departamento de Educacion Especial presta sus servicios a estudiantes incapacitados que residen dentro del distrito de Cleburne.

     Las reglas y procedimientos respecto a confidencialidad y acceso (incluyiendo una cuota) de registros de estudiantes estan disponibles para revisar en las direccion mencionada arriba durante las horas de trabajo 8:00 a.m. hasta las 4:00 p.m., de Lunes a Viernes. Los registros conteniendo la evaluacion de los estudiantes de Educacion Especial estan localizados en esta misma direccion y pueden ser revisados por los padres, persona o personas responsables del estudiante. Si desean revisar los registros pueden llamar la oficina de Educacion Especial al 817-202-1600.

    Los registros cumulativos pueden ser revisados en la escuela assignada de cada estudiante. El distrito conserva los registros de los estudiantes con desabilidades por lo menos cinco anos despues que el estudiante haya graduado o despedido de Educacion Especial. Despues de los cinco anos, los padres, persona o personas responsables, o el estudiante que desea los registros pueden mandar una carta con los siguientes datos: nombre del estudiante, fecha de nacimiento, fechas de assistencia, y la ultima escuela que atendio el estudiante en educacion especial.
