CAREER AND TECHNICAL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are a co-curricular aspect of CTE programs. CTSOs provide students with opportunities to highlight their learning through competition, develop leadership skills, earn scholarships, and network with professionals. There is a state approved CTSO for every program of study.

FCCLA
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. Everyone is part of a family, and FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

The purpose of HOSA-Future Health Professionals is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program.

TAFE
The Texas Association of Future Educators or TAFE (pronounced "taffy") is a co-curricular statewide non-profit student organization created to allow young men and women an opportunity to explore the teaching profession. The organization was created in 1984 to provide the best and brightest high school and middle school students in Texas with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions about pursuing careers in education.

TAFE encourages students to learn about careers in education and assists them in exploring the teaching profession while promoting character, service and leadership skills necessary for becoming effective educators.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization of students engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Open to students enrolled in or who have completed technology education courses, members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities and much more. The diversity of activities makes TSA a positive experience for every student. From engineers to business managers, our alumni credit TSA with having a positive influence on their lives.

NATIONAL TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY
The National Technical Honor Society honors, recognizes, and empowers students and teachers in Career & Technical Education. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce.
NTHS helps members to:
