Greetings!

My name is Ricky Lewis, and I am one of the new assistant principals at SIS. I have been in education in some capacity since I graduated from Texas Tech (Wreck ‘em) in 2000. I worked in educational marketing for Texas Instruments for two years and also in higher education at Tarleton for six. I got my teaching certification in 2007 and taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in two districts, Kopperl and Blum, for five years. In 2009, I went back to school and got my Master’s degree and principal certification from Tarleton State University. For the past 12 years,  I have been an administrator in Blum, Burleson, and Alvarado.

My wife Melanie is also an educator. She works as a Dyslexia specialist and Reading Interventionist in Blum. We  have four incredible children: Stacia (23), Elijah (10), Raleigh (9), and Crosbie (7).We have lived in Cleburne for 14 years. My passions are: my family, serving kids, Manchester United, and coffee. I am ready to serve the students at SMS and Cleburne. LET’S GO JACKETS!!!
