Autumn Van Winkle is the Assistant Principal at Adams Elementary School. Autumn grew up in Cleburne Schools and attended Cooke Elementary, Smith Middle School, and Cleburne High School. After graduating from Cleburne, she attended Tarleton State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Child Development. Later, she attended the University of Texas at Tyler and received a Master of Arts in School Counseling.
Mrs. Van Winkle started her career with CISD in January 2013 at Santa Fe Elementary where she served for the spring semester as an ESL paraprofessional. In July 2013, she was hired as a 2nd grade teacher at Coleman Elementary. She taught in 2nd grade for 2 years before moving to 3rd grade for the next 2 years and served as Marti's school counselor for 3 years before becoming Assistant Principal at Adams.
Mrs. Van Winkle is married to her husband, Tyson Van Winkle and they have two children, Lawson and Austyn. She loves to read, spend time with her family and friends, and do practically anything outdoors. Mrs. Van Winkle believes in Public Education, Cleburne ISD, and Adams Elementary. She is willing to do “whatever it takes” to help ALL students be successful.
