Mrs. Dea Griffith

My name is Dea Griffith and I am excited to serve our families at Coleman Elementary as the Assistant Principal.

I’ve lived in Cleburne most of my life and graduated from Joshua High School, Class of ‘97. I began teaching at Cleburne Intermediate School in 2002 and have called this district my home since this time. I have experience in teaching multiple content areas and grade levels. I believe this is due to my continual desire to learn and grow. This growth mindset has provided me with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our school culture and the climate of our community. I take great pride in being a Yellow Jacket and believe that this is demonstrated by my desire to stay continually engaged with our students. In 2018, I transitioned to Coleman to rekindle my passion for educating our younger scholars. It was at this time that I graduated from the University of North Texas with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

I am married and have a 5th-grade daughter who has been a Coleman Colt since Kindergarten. Our family enjoys camping, fishing, racing dirt bikes, and anything outdoors. We are members of Cleburne Bible Church and enjoy the fellowship of our church, school and community. I am a proud Texan and am proud to be part of an amazing school district that puts children first.
