My name is Valerie Patterson and I proudly serve the students, families, and staff of Coleman Elementary as the school counselor. I’m a lifetime member of the community, Cleburne High School Alumni, with most of my 26-year academic career here in Cleburne. I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University in 1994.  My career in Cleburne started as a 3rd-grade teacher at J.N. Long Elementary and Cooke Elementary where I taught for 7 years. In 2003 I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Master in Guidance and Counseling and my favorite journey began!  For 19 years I’ve served kids from grades Pre-Kinder to Sixth grade on two campuses and with two school districts. I am married and have two wonderful step-daughters and five adorable dogs! Building relationships with our students and families is one of the best parts of my job. I am always available for support, questions or concerns.
