Pre-AP Moving to Advanced in the 2021-2022 School Year!
Beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, Cleburne ISD will replace Pre-AP courses with Advanced courses. This will affect courses for grades 6-12 at all Cleburne ISD secondary campuses. The change to Advanced is in response to a College Board policy which requires district to purchase a specific "Pre-AP curriculum" in order to use their naming convention. Cleburne ISD will not purchase the College Board's curriculum. Please be assured that all Advanced courses will continue to be taught at a high level of rigor using Cleburne ISD curriculum. Advanced courses at CHS will continue to be weighted in a student's GPA.
Updates to course names will be reflected in the 2021-2022 secondary course guides. For more information, please see the letter & FAQs below.
