When can I register my child for pre-kindergarten?
Applications for State-Eligible Pre-K will be accepted at all elementary campuses beginning April 1st - May 25, 2022.
Beginning June 1, 2022 applications will be accepted at Student Services Department at CISD Central Administration Building located at 505 N. Ridgeway Drive.
Applications for Tuition-Based Pre-K are accepted year-round.

How do I prove my child’s age and identification?
The following documents can be provided as proof upon registration:
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- School ID
- Military ID
- Hospital birth record
- Adoption record
- Church baptismal certificate
- Any other legal document that certifies the child’s age and identification

What is the cost of tuition-based enrollment?
Tuition for non-Cleburne ISD employees is $3,850; tuition for Cleburne ISD employees is $3,300.

Can I enroll my child in Cleburne ISD prekindergarten if I am not a Cleburne ISD resident?
Yes. Cleburne ISD accepts applications for out-of-district transfers at any age. Please contact the district's Student Services Department for assistance in applying.

When are payments due?
Payments are spread over ten months (August through May) on the first day of each month. Payments received after 4 PM on the day due are subject to a $20 late fee; payments past due for thirty days may result in student withdrawal from the program.

What are the school days and hours?
Pre-kindergarten follows the district schedule (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3:45 PM) and district calendar.

What are pre-kindergarten attendance requirements?
Students are required to attend school and are, by law, subject to compulsory attendance requirements. Failure to attend school regularly as outlined in the Texas Education Code may result in an investigation.

Are transportation and meals provided for pre-kindergarteners?
Transportation is provided for all students who meet the Texas Education Code’s definition of “regular eligible student,” which is a student who resides two or more miles from the student’s campus of regular attendance, measured along the shortest route that may be traveled on public roads, and who is not classified as a student eligible for special education services.
Breakfast and lunch are provided to all Cleburne ISD students free of charge.

What campus will my child attend?
Pre-kindergarten students attend the home campus to which they are zoned. If you need assistance in determining which campus your child is zoned to attend, please call the Department of Transportation at 817- 202- 2190 or use the Texas School Zone Locator to find your school.

What is the maximum class size for a pre-kindergarten class?
The largest class size for a pre-kindergarten classroom is 22. All pre-kindergarten classrooms in Cleburne ISD have a full-time instructional aide present to assist the teacher.
