Enrollment Extravaganza 7-7 Thursday for Students New to CISD

Cleburne ISD’s Enrollment Extravaganza for all students new to Cleburne ISD will be held Thursday, July 23 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cleburne High School.

“We will be utilizing much of the first floor of the high school to allow for lots of social distancing and space as our participants complete the registration process,” Tammy Bright, assistant superintendent of Student Services said. “We are very excited to be welcoming new students to Cleburne ISD.”

Parents will have the opportunity to complete the process of enrolling their child in school for 2020-21 along with transportation services for those who qualify. Representatives from every campus will be on hand, including those with the CISD athletic program to assist with required paperwork for new students in grades 7-12 who plan to complete in UIL sports.

Students who will be age four on or before September 1 may be enrolled in full-day Pre-Kindergarten through state eligibility requirements, or may enroll in the District’s Tuition-Based program.

Under Texas Education Agency guidelines, state-funded Pre-K is available only to students who are limited English proficient, eligible for the free/reduced price lunch program, homeless, or are currently or have been in the care of the Department of Family and Protective Services. Children with a parent on active duty in the U.S. armed forces are also eligible.

Tuition for the CISD Tuition-Based Pre-K program, open to students who do not meet state requirements, will be $3,850 for the 2020-21 school year, which can be paid in monthly installments of $385 over a ten-month period.

Students who will be age five on or before September 1 are eligible for kindergarten. Parents participating in the Enrollment Extravaganza should bring the child they will be registering with them, regardless of their grade level.

In order to complete the registration process for all grade levels, parents should bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate, current immunization record, Social Security card and proof of residence, such as a utility bill or lease agreement. The parent/guardian will be asked to present their driver’s license or a photo ID.
