A swarm of Yellow Jackets have qualified for the 5A-Region II Regional Swim Meet following top finishes in District competition.
Freshman Averi Coates led the charge on the girls side with a first place finish in the 200 individual medley and as the District silver medalist in the breaststroke. Elizabeth Hunt also came away with a ticket to Regionals following her qualifying race in the 100 butterfly.
Senior Parker Pritchard was on the medal stand for Cleburne boys, placing third in the 100 backstroke. Pritchard and teammates Rylan Coates, David Juarez and Dane McCoy are advancing to Regionals in the 200 IM Relay.
Rylan Coates rounds out Cleburne’s list of individual qualifiers in two events, as a leading District competitor in the 100 backstroke and the 200 IM.
The Regional Meet will open with preliminary races on Friday, February 3, taking place at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.
