Cleburne ISD seniors will be engaged in distance learning from home (asynchronous instruction) on Friday, April 9.
The decision to move seniors to asynchronous instruction--Friday only--stems from connectivity issues with the STAAR Online Testing Program experienced across the state on Tuesday, which prevented thousands of students from completing assessments scheduled that day, including the English I exam. In the face of this unexpected interruption, the district has moved online testing, including both the English I and English II exams, to Thursday and Friday of this week, based on assurances from the Texas Education Agency that the connectivity issues would be resolved.
The majority of our seniors have passed the STAAR English I and II assessments.
Friday’s flexibility in learning will allow seniors to continue with school-related activities and competitions scheduled that day, including those who may be taking the English I or English II re-test.
