District Welcomes New Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations

                Shawn Shockler has been named CISD Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations following approval by trustees at the April 12 school board meeting.

                Shockler fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Barry Hipp, who has overseen district and maintenance operations since 2012.

                He comes to Cleburne from Arlington ISD where he has spent seven years as senior manager of maintenance, working with a staff of 152 and developing and maintaining a budget of $7.5 million. His resume also includes three years as Dallas ISD manager of central maintenance.

                Shockler has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He holds certifications from the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians; National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies Level II; Residential Fire Alarm superintendent; the Residential Fire Alarm License and the Texas Fire Extinguishing License.
