Jordenne Cunningham Crowned 2021 Homecoming Queen

Cleburne High School senior Jordenne Cunningham was crowned the 2021 Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of Friday’s football game.

                The seven candidates for the crown, escorted to the 50 yard-line by family members, included Cunningham and fellow seniors Nichole Bushong, Rylie Clark, Tabitha Collazo, Chelsei Lee, Melissa Rodriguez and Tanayah Taylor.

                Also in attendance was 2020 Homecoming Queen, and Class Valedictorian Brenda Zamora Chavez, who is now a freshman at The University of Texas. Zamora was given the honor of crowning the new queen.

Cunningham is a three-year starter on the Lady Jackets Varsity Basketball Team and has achieved All-District and All-County recognition. She has received multiple Academic Excellence Awards and is a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, Student Council and Health Occupations Students of America. She serves as secretary of Exchangettes and is an active member of student ministry at Westhill Church of Christ. She plans to continue on to a four-year university to begin her journey to become a pediatric nurse.

                Friday’s Homecoming game, which ended in victory with a 54-48 win over Weatherford, concluded two days of festivities, highlighted by the parade and bonfire and the recognition of the CHS Ex-Students Association honorees.
