You excel. You serve. You lead. You succeed. You have a true thirst for challenge … and accomplishment. Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) may be an ideal fit for you!
The Cleburne High School Chapter of NHS was established in 1958 and continues a proud tradition of recognizing students who excel in the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Membership provides students with access to a national network of resources for college and career planning for the leaders of tomorrow.
Junior and Senior students are inducted once each year, in the fall semester, through a rigorous selection process. To be eligible for consideration, students must first meet a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.5. Students who meet the scholarship requirement will have an opportunity to complete a form detailing their accomplishments in and commitment to service, leadership, and character, and to submit teacher recommendation forms.
To apply for NHS Membership:
- Fill out this information form
- Ask three teachers to fill out teacher recommendations
- Check your email for updates. When you are accepted, you will need to join the NHS national group online and pay dues in order to complete your membership process.
For the 2022-23 school year, all forms are due to the NHS faculty selection committee no later than Friday, OCTOBER 28, 2022. Information forms received after this date will be held for consideration until next year’s selection committee meeting.
